Dominie Hooper brings her spellbinding full-band show to Home Bar, Edinburgh on Sunday 1st February, performing songs from her breathtaking debut album In This Body Lives (produced by Ben Hillier – Depeche Mode, Nadine Shah, Blur). A force of nature on stage, Dominie’s music fuses raw emotion, distorted cello, and choral harmonies into something both primal and transcendent. Praised by Guy Garvey as “an amazing storyteller and a brilliant musician... endlessly engaging and thrilling,” Hooper’s live performances are charged with ritualistic energy and unflinching honesty – an unforgettable experience from one of the UK’s most compelling new artists.

Support comes from Isa Gordon, an Ayrshire-raised, Glasgow-based producer and songwriter whose work reframes traditional songs through swirling electronics, processed vocals and club-influenced rhythms. Drawing equally from folk, punk and experimental sound design, her recent single ‘I Wish, I Wish’ and forthcoming album 8Men, rework centuries-old songs alongside 20th-century covers into something eerie, intimate and strikingly contemporary. Isa’s live sets feel both ancient and forward-looking, rooted in storytelling and atmosphere, and make for a perfect, otherworldly opening to the night.
